“There is almost a sensual longing for communion with others who have a large vision. The immense fulfillment of the friendship between those engaged in furthering the evolution of consciousness has a quality impossible to describe.”
-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Peace, truth and harmony are spreading throughout our world.
We live in a world today where the idea of group power is being rekindled and where it’s momentum is gathering. Humanity as a whole is remembering that it is thoughts and actions of kindness, honesty and equality for all that create positive change.
One initiative that is expanding throughout religious and spiritual groups, as well as on blogs and other social media sites is globally synchronized meditation and prayer gatherings.
To some, believing that thoughts or prayers can influence the physical world around them can be dubious. To a quantum physicist on the other hand, thoughts influencing the world around them are something believed in and something that has repeatedly been shown to be true in scientific studies.
In the early 1980s an experimental study observed different gatherings of over 1,000 people meditating each morning and evening for three consecutive weeks. The study was designed to observe effects around Jerusalem, Israel and neighboring countries.
The results were astounding and they found that there was a 76% reduction in war-related deaths.
Time series analysis was used in this study to rule out possibilities that the reduction in global terrorism was caused by pre-existing trends, drifts in data or cycles.
Due to the interest and controversy these results produced, it took the Yale University-edited Journal of Conflict Resolution over two years to publish. The editors went through great lengths to flush out any bad data or inconsistencies, but chose to publish it due to the quality of the work and the standards set in producing the study. In other words, the editors had no choice but to publish and encouraged the work to be reproduced and replicated by others.
Seven subsequent experiments took place over a two-year period during the peak of the Lebanon war and they found that acts of global terrorism resulting in fatalities and injuries were reduced by 72%, injuries fell by 68%, the level of conflict dropped by 48% and cooperation among the antagonists increased by 66%. The combined results that this produced was calculated to be less than one in one quintillion (1 and 1,000,000,000,000,000,000).
From the Global Consciousness Project
Since that time, a number of experiments have taken place with similar, impressive results.
John Hagelin, Ph.D., is a quantum physicist, educator and public policy expert, who also ran these experiments in the 1990s, stated that, “An overwhelming number of papers documenting more than sixty different experiments of group meditation’s effect on conflict have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals that have the most stringent standards for research. I believe it is the most rigorously established and thoroughly tested phenomenon in the history of the social sciences.”
Scientists believe this is due to a coherent resonance being created in the Unified Quantum Field by those meditating and praying.
“How then does this spread to an entire group from one localized position?”
Think of a laser. Its straight, coherent light is established by what is known in physics as the Field Effect.
The Source of Light
The Field Effect’s principle, according to the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy is “that it is not necessary to act individually on each individual constituent of a system, but that the system can be handled in one stroke at the collective level.”
The 1,000+ people meditating created a Field Effect of harmonious coherence that spread throughout the collective–which in turn helped to reduce acts of terrorism (incoherent, disruptive energy).
This effect, which has also been called the “Maharishi Effect,” has had over 600 scientific studies conducted in 33 countries and in over 250 independent research institutions.
Today this structured and coherent energy is being studied and analyzed by the Global Consciousness Project (GCP), whose logistical home is the well-known Institute of Noetic Sciences.
Dean Radin, PhD, who is Chief Scientist at the Institue of Noetic Sciences has said this about the the Global Consciousness Project and the data and conclusions they are reaching:
“It’s real, it’s been quietly collecting data for nearly two decades, and reached a conclusion based on those data that’s much stronger than the evidence that won the CERN team the Nobel Prize for discovering the Higgs Boson.”
The GCP collects data with up to 141 host sites worldwide 24 hours a day, using true random number generators.
The GCP notes that “Random number generators (RNGs) based on quantum tunneling produce completely unpredictable sequences of zeroes and ones. But when a great event synchronizes the feelings of millions of people, our network of RNGs becomes subtly structured.
We calculate one in a trillion odds that the effect is due to chance. The evidence suggests an emerging noosphere or the unifying field of consciousness described by sages in all cultures.”
Roger Nelson, PhD, who runs the Global Consciousness Project notes in his book, Connected: The Emergence of Global Consciousness, that they use true random number generators, which differ immensely from the pseudo-random data gathered by a computer program.
Nelson writes that “the future of the sequence of bits is not predictable because it does not exist until it happens, and the determination whether the next bit will be a 1 or a 0 is dependent on quantum level physics.”
Major world events, such as the 9/11 attack, Princess Diana’s passing and worldwide meditations, along with many other events, have been recorded by the GCP and has shown that synchronization of the RNG’s has occurred when the minds of many people from around the world were involved.
So how can we best use this information, which is actually a consciousness-based technology itself?
Gathering with like minds with the same pure intentions of peace, harmony, abundance, life, liberty and freedom is a powerful way to shift consciousness and help bring about a better world for us all.
